The Meetin'

The day for me started at 3AM........Bathroom break and unlike other days, I could not fall back asleep, as I knew that today was the day to meet our baby girl, Charlotte Sara.

We drove to the hospital and it was a glorious day!

Here is the front entrance with beautiful flowers of

CentraState Hospital in Freehold, NJ. Really great hospital.

I worked some in the morning - sending and answering emails from the uncomfortable hospital bed.

Then Ron and I played some MasterMind - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastermind_(board_game) - a great game that I have been playing since I was a little girl. I am happy to say that it took some time, but I was able to get the decode in three (3) rows. Ron bought this as a gift for me to take to the hospital.

We hung out pretty much all day and watched TV, listened to music - Linkin Park, The Police Greatest Hits, NOW 25 and Fergie. Then 6:00PM came and they said it was show time. For the next hour and 25 minutes, we worked hard and as you know at 7:25PM - Charlotte Sara made her debut. She didn't really cry a lot until they started cleaning her at the warmer. Then Ron went over to see her and take pictures - and as soon as he started talking to her, she got quiet. Very cool and unbelievable moment.

We are in..........mostly

Well, Sunday came and we got our U-Haul rental truck, bright and early. The people to help Ron move our stuff that seems now to have multiplied in our 9 months in Allentown, NJ were supposed to be there between 1 PM and 2PM. You guys thought I was the only one growing in 9 months - our closets and under bed storage also grew. So what we thought would be a couple of hours packing turned into an all day event!

We made our last run from Allentown to our new home, emptied the truck by 10PM. By this last run, I thought Ronnie was going to die and he wound up lying in bed, while his Mom and Dad finished emptying a truck. There should have been a "Do not attempt this stunt at home" warning on our move on Sunday or a show on TLC - "Trading Places - When Not To Move (Yourself)". One bedroom, one pregnant wife and one husband trying to move it all.

Monday came and the "Real" movers showed up - a real exciting trio - Johnny, Pauly and Stu. This is not the cast of the Sopranos. They were amazing got our 10x30 storage unit emptied and into our new house in 3.5 hours.

The bad news is we still have our small 10x10 unit with our kitchen bookcase and dining room set still to unload. Our comedy trio said, "No way". This looks like some non-professionals loaded it - loose stuff everywhere, it will take forever and we won't guarantee that stuff won't break. So we gave them a reprieve, decided to move everything else, get some stuff unpacked and get the rest of our belongings in the next few weeks. Ron and I will need to organize that space a little better before our trio returns on a weekend, as their own entrepreneurs to make some side money. So back to U-Haul we will go to rent another truck and let them do it.

More to come.......L&R

Life Happens

The day is coming - May 4, 2007 and we are finally closing on our house. Here is a picture of the finished product. Hard to believe and only 4 months behind schedule, 4 long months. Only 17 hours until the closing!!!!! YEAH.

The movers are coming on Sunday to move our bedroom stuff to the new house and on Monday, we will be reunited with our "stuff". I can't wait to play the piano again and sit in my favorite chair and watch the birds go by and maybe unpack a few boxes before our baby comes........

We went to the doctor today and he said everything is going great and we will start going every two weeks now. Amazing how fast time flies with lots of things going on. It is great stuff!!!

Another exciting bit of news is another new addition to our family. We would like you all to meet.......Gracie. She was born on March 8, 2007 and will be coming to be a part of our family this coming week.

Her mother is a beagle, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beagle and her father is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cavalier_king_charles_spaniel. We hope you will all come and visit us at our new house and meet Gracie and then August will be here before you know it and you can meet our new little girl - Charlotte Sara!

We will keep updating this site with things that are going on and please feel free to comment!
